Dennis J. Morris is a multi-bench judge for the Family, Surrogate's and County courts of Schuyler County, New York. He was elected to a 10-year term on November 8, 2011 which will begin January 1, 2012. His current term will expire in 2021.[1]

Morris won election as a County Court Justice on November 8th after winning the Conservative primary. He earned 54 percent of the vote and defeated Joseph G. Fazzary in the General Election.[2][1]

Party affiliation

Though both candidates are Republicans, Morris is running for the Conservative and Integrity parties in the general election.[3]

IJEC rating

The Independent Judicial Election Qualification Commissions has rated Morris as Qualified.[4]

Education

Morris earned his undergraduate degree from Grove City College in 1974. He earned his J.D. from the Law School at the University of Akron in 1978.[5]

Career

Morris has been actively involved in private practice since 1979. He served as the Assistant District Attorney for Schuyler County from 1986 until 1989, and then as the Assistant County Attorney from 1992 until present.[5]
