Dennis Jones is a judge for the Kaufman County Court at Law No. 1 in Texas. He was appointed by the Kaufman County Commissioners on May 1, 2013, to fill the vacancy created when Erleigh Norville Wiley stepped down.[1][2] He was re-elected after running unopposed on November 4, 2014, for a term beginning on January 1, 2015, and expired on December 31, 2018.[3][4]

Career

Prior to his election to the bench, Jones has practiced law in Texas since 1979, most recently working as a defense attorney.[1]
