Dennis Kavanaugh
Dennis Kavanaugh is a former member of the Mesa City Council in Arizona, representing District 3 from 2009 to 2017. Kavanaugh also served on the council from 1996 to 2004. He served as the vice mayor of Mesa from 2002 to 2004.[1]
Kavanaugh was a candidate for District 1 representative on the Maricopa County Community College District in Arizona. Kavanaugh was defeated in the general election on November 8, 2016.

Maricopa County held elections for the county board of supervisors, county assessor, county attorney, county recorder, sheriff, county treasurer, and special districts in 2016. The general election was held on November 8, 2016. A primary election was held on August 30, 2016. The filing deadline for those wishing to run in this election was June 1, 2016.[2] Laurin Hendrix defeated Dennis Kavanaugh and Moses Sanchez in the Maricopa County Community College District District 1 general election.[3]
