Dennis Lambert was a 2016 Green Party candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 15th Congressional District of Ohio. He did not make it onto the general election ballot.[1]

Lambert previously ran for the 6th Congressional District of the U.S. House in 2014 as a Green Party candidate. He was defeated by Rep. Bill Johnson (R) in the general election on November 4, 2014.[2] In 2010, Lambert unsuccessfully ran for District 89 of the Ohio House of Representatives.[3]

Upon graduation from Paul Blazer High School in Ashland, Kentucky, Lambert joined the United States Army.[4] He served in the Army for eight years, working as a unit supply specialist and armorer.[5]

In 1997, Lambert earned his A.S. in electronic media from Ohio University. He went on to earn his B.A. in technical and applied studies from Ohio University in 2010.[5]

Professionally, Lambert has worked in a variety of fields, including radio and television production, education, and fast food management. He assists veterans in finding employment and receiving their benefits.[5]

Heading into the election, Ballotpedia rated this race as safely Republican. Incumbent Steve Stivers (R) defeated Scott Wharton (D) in the general election. Both candidates ran unopposed in their respective primaries on March 15, 2016.[1]

Lambert ran in the 2014 election for the U.S. House to represent Ohio's 6th District. He lost to Rep. Bill Johnson (R) in the general election, which took place on November 4, 2014.[2]

In 2010, Lambert unsuccessfully sought the District 89 seat of the Ohio House of Representatives. His opponents in the November 2 general election were Ron Hadsell and Terry Johnson.[3]

Lambert submitted the following statement to Ballotpedia:[5]

I hope to move the country to renewable energy which will provide a more secure and healthy future for our children and grandchildren. I also want to overhaul the VA claims system as I have witnessed the abuses of power and influence the VA has over our wounded warriors.[6]
