Dennis Nielsen
Dennis Nielsen (Republican Party) ran for election to the North Carolina State Senate to represent District 11. Nielsen lost in the Republican primary on March 3, 2020.
Nielsen was a 2016 Republican candidate for District 26 of the North Carolina House of Representatives. He ran unsuccessfully for the same seat in 2014.
Biography
Nielsen earned a degree from the University of Nebraska in law enforcement. His professional experience includes owning Freedom Arms in Clayton, NC. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 37 years.[1]

Elections for the North Carolina House of Representatives took place in 2016. The primary election was held on March 15, 2016, and the general election was held on November 8, 2016.[2] The candidate filing deadline was December 21, 2015.[3] Incumbent Namon Daughtry (R) did not seek re-election.
Donna McDowell White defeated Rich Nixon in the North Carolina House of Representatives District 26 general election.[4][5]
