Dennis Quinn
Dennis C. Quinn was a 2016 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 3rd Congressional District of Mississippi.[1]
Quinn was a 2015 Republican candidate for District 38 of the Mississippi State Senate.
Quinn was a 2014 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 3rd Congressional District of Mississippi.[2] He was defeated by Doug Magee in a runoff election on June 24, 2014.

2016
Heading into the election, Ballotpedia rated this race as safely Republican. Incumbent Gregg Harper (R) defeated Dennis Quinn (D), Roger Gerrard (Veterans Party of America), and Lajena Sheets (Reform) in the general election. Harper defeated Jimmy Giles in the Republican primary on March 8, 2016. Quinn defeated Nathan Stewart in the Democratic primary on March 8, 2016. Both Gerrard and Sheets were unopposed.[1][3]

Elections for the Mississippi State Senate took place in 2015. A primary election was held on August 4, 2015, and the general election was held on November 3, 2015. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 27, 2015.[4] Tammy Witherspoon and Angela Brooks defeated Daryl Porter Jr., Albert Eubanks and Gregory Harris in the Democratic primary. Witherspoon defeated Brooks in the August 25 primary runoff. Dennis Quinn was unopposed in the Republican primary. Benté Johnson (I) ran as a third party candidate. Witherspoon defeated Quinn and Johnson in the general election.
2014
Quinn ran in the 2014 election for the U.S. House to represent Mississippi's 3rd District. Quinn sought the Democratic nomination in the primary on June 3, 2014, but the primary resulted in a runoff. He lost to Doug Magee in the June 24, 2014, runoff election.
