Dennis Schmidt
Dennis Schmidt was a Republican member of the South Dakota State Senate, representing District 33 from 2006 to 2011. Schmidt did not run for re-election in 2010.
Schimidt has worked as a Youth/Senior Pastor and police officer for Snohomish, Washington. He was also a motivational speaker at the American Indian Summer Youth Camp for Olympic Peninsula. He was a part of the Minuteman Missile Project at F.E. Warren Air Force Base. He then worked in the Aerospace Division of Boeing Company. Schmidt has worked as a business owner since 1993.
Schmidt attended Seattle Bible College.

2010
Schmidt did not run for re-election to the 33rd District seat in 2010. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.
2008
On Nov. 4, 2008, Schmidt won re-election to the 33rd District Seat in the South Dakota State Senate, defeating opponent Dennis Finch (D).[1]
Schmidt raised $12,374 for his campaign while Finch raised $34,842.[2]
