Dennis Sweeney
Dennis J. Sweeney was a judge on the Washington Court of Appeals, Division III. He was elected to this position in November of 1991 and re-elected in 1992, 1998, 2004, and 2010.[1][2] He has served two terms as Chief Judge of Division III and one term as Presiding Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals.[3] He retired from the court on April 30, 2013.[4]
Career
Judge Sweeney has written three books about judicial processes: "An Analysis of Harmless Error in Washington: A Principled Process,," “The Common Law Process: a New Look at An Ancient Value Delivery System,” and the bench book "A Judge's Role in Making A Record: An Exercise in Judicial Discretion"[3]
2010 election
Sweeney was re-elected after running unopposed.[5][6]
