Dennis Utter
Dennis Utter was a member of the Nebraska Unicameral, representing District 33 from 2008 until his death on December 27, 2011.
Prior to his election to the Nebraska Legislature, Sen. Utter was mayor of McCook, NE.
Biography
Utter graduated from the Colorado School of Banking, earned his B.S. in Agriculture from the University of Wyoming in 1961 and earned his M.S. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Wyoming in 1964. His professional experience included work as a retired bank executive and as a farm manager for First National Bank and Trust Company from 1961 to 1963.[1]

On November 4, 2008, Utter won election to the 33rd District Seat in the Nebraska Senate, defeating Chuck Shoemaker.[2]

Utter and his wife, Kathryn, have three children. Utter was involved with a number of organizations, including the Adams County Senior Servies, Kenesaw Community Club, Kenesaw Public Schools Foundation, Mary Lanning Healthcare Foundation, Nebraska Bankers Association, Nebraska Bankers Association/American Bankers Association and the University of Nebraska Medical Center Board of Councilors.[1]
