Denny Coffman is a former Democratic member of the Hawaii House of Representatives, representing District 5 from 2008 to December 20, 2013. He resigned to spend more time with his family due to his daughter's medical issue[1]

Coffman won re-election in the 2012 election for Hawaii House of Representatives District 5. He defeated Leolani Lagat Oyama in the August 11 Democratic primary and defeated Dave Bateman (R) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[3][4]

Coffman won re-election to the 6th District seat in 2010. He had no primary opposition on September 18, 2010. The general election took place on November 2, 2010. Rebecca Leau ran on the Republican ticket for this seat.[5]

On November 4, 2008, Coffman won election to the Hawaii House of Representatives from Hawaii's 6th District, defeating Andy Smith (R). Coffman received 4,520 votes in the election while Smith received 4,378 votes.[6] Coffman raised $25,439 for his campaign; Smith raised $43,997.[7]
