Deno Economou

Deno Economou is a judge of the Twelfth Judicial Circuit Court in Sarasota County, Florida. He was appointed by former Governor Jeb Bush in 1999 and took office in December of that year.[1][2][3]
Economou was re-elected without opposition in 2014, winning a six-year term that expires on January 4, 2021.[4][5]

Education
Economou received his B.A. degree from Davidson College in 1970 and his J.D. degree from Duke University in 1973.[1]
Career
Economous began his career as a public defender, first in North Carolina and then in Florida. He returned to North Carolina in 1982 and worked as a prosecutor. In 1985, he moved to Manatee County, Florida, where he worked as a prosecutor in the State Attorney's Office until his judicial appointment in 1999.[2][6]
