Denver Walker was a candidate for an at-large seat on the Cabarrus County Schools Board of Education in North Carolina. He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014.

Denver Walker is a Midland resident who worked with the federal government for 35 years, four of which were in the Air Force and the other 31 years in the Defense Contract Management Command Department. He has four children and 18 grandchildren.[1]

Three seats on the Cabarrus Board of Education were up for general election on November 4, 2014. Incumbents Carolyn Carpenter and Blake Kiger faced challengers Thomas Clark, Tim Furr, Andrea Palo, Vince Powell, Horace Stainback and Denver Walker.
