Derek Meinecke is a judge for the 44th District Court in Michigan. He was elected on November 6, 2012.

Education

Meinecke received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in 1996 and his J.D. from Wayne State University Law School in 2000.[1]

Career

Before serving on the 44th District Court, Meinecke was an assistant prosecutor for Oakland County. He is also a former clerk of retired Judge Daniel Sawicki.[2]

2012 election

Meinecke advanced from the primary election, winning 48.11 percent of the vote. He defeated Carlo P. Ginotti in the general election on November 6, winning 54.73 percent of the vote.[3][4][5]
