Derrick Grayson (Republican Party) ran in a special election to the U.S. Senate to represent Georgia. He lost in the special general election on November 3, 2020.

Grayson was a 2016 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. Senate from Georgia.[1] Grayson was defeated by incumbent Johnny Isakson in the Republican primary on May 24, 2016.[2]

Grayson was a 2014 Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Georgia.[3] Grayson was defeated in the Republican primary on May 20, 2014.[4]

Incumbent Johnny Isakson (R) defeated Jim Barksdale (D), Allen Buckley (L), and Michelle Gates (Write-in) in the general election on November 8, 2016. Isakson defeated Derrick Grayson and Mary Kay Bacallao in the Republican primary, while Barksdale defeated Cheryl Copeland and John Coyne to win the Democratic nomination. The primary election took place on May 24, 2016.[5][2]
