Detroit City General Operations Tax Measure 24-289 (November 2009)
The Detroit City General Operations Tax Measure 24-289 was on the November 3 ballot in Marion County for the voters in the City of Detroit.
The measure sought to enact a $1.51 general tax on property in the city. The city was looking to add money to its general operations fund in order to give more money towards the street fund which needs more funds to improve and maintain city streets.[1]
