Devin Pandy was born in March 1974 in Belize City, Belize. His family moved to New York when he was still an infant and, in 1979, his father joined the United States Army. Devin developed a sense of discipline from a regimented father and compassion from a nurturing mother. Always knowing he wanted to eventually serve and defend his country, Devin spent four years in the JROTC program in high school, participating in the Drill Team, Color Guard, and Honor Guard. He joined the army right out of high school.

Devin enlisted in the Army as a Logistics Specialist. He also held the specialty of Intelligence and Electronic Warfare Systems Maintainer and, after 9/11, Military Intelligence All-Source Analyst. After 21 years and five deployments, including Panama, Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan, Devin retired as Chief Warrant Officer II and a Wounded Warrior. Devin comes from a family of patriots who dedicated their lives to military service. His grandfather served in World War II, his father served in Desert Storm/Desert Shield and retired after 20 years of service as a Master Sergeant, his sister-in-law retired after 20 years as a Staff Sergeant, and his brother has served over 30 years and is currently a Major.

Pandy proudly served his country for over 20 years and is honored and eager to continue his service to the American People. He is looking forward to representing the people of District 9 and bringing Honor and Integrity back to Congress.
  • We must stop the depredations of our public lands. Rejoining our allies in supporting the Paris Climate Accord is imperative. Our wilderness areas and native wildlife, which are rich and abundant in District 9, are in danger and must be protected, not just for us but for generations to come.
  • Healthcare is imperative to the standard of living of all Americans. In District 9 especially, healthcare must be accessible and affordable. Most enrolled in the ACA love their healthcare. Unfortunately, there are some who pay incredibly high monthly premiums, co-pays, or both. There are others who struggle to receive continuity of care due to a limited providers. Healthcare must be simple, effective, and affordable.
  • Businesses are closing, workers are losing their jobs, and small farm owners are going bankrupt. Tariffs imposed on foreign goods imported into the U.S. are paid by the American people, not a foreign competitor. Make no mistake, TARIFFS ARE TAXES, and Rural America, District 9, is disproportionately affected.
Part of my agenda includes combatting Climate Change, raising the minimum wage, rescuing our farmers, and ensuring education and healthcare are accessible and affordable.
Elected officials should possess honor, integrity, and courage in doing the right thing. All elected officials, regardless of party, must affirm, to themselves and the American people, their oath to the Constitution and their promise to place the welfare of the American people and the nation above themselves and above their party.
I place the needs of others above my own. I spent two decades caring for the welfare of my Soldiers here at home and deployed in combat zones. The decisions I sometimes had to make didn't always benefit me personally, but they benefitted my Soldiers, the mission, my unit, and the United States. I will do the same for District 9. You can trust that I will always thoroughly analyze the issues and choose the appropriate plan of action that best suits the needs of the people.
The core responsibility of elected officials is to simultaneously fight for their constituents and support the Constitution.
My very first job was cutting grass in my neighborhood when I was 12 years old. I made business cards out of 3x5 cards with my name, my grass-cutting service, and the house telephone number. I charged $15 per yard. Out of the money I earned, I had to fill the lawnmower with gas, pay my father for renting the mower from him, and pay my younger brother (who helped with raking and bagging leaves. I did this for two summers and learned great lessons in both independence and money management.
Man In The Mirror by Michael Jackson
Anytime you have experience with something, it can definitely seem to be beneficial. However, there is something to be said about those who may not have the experience but have the integrity, sense of duty, and courage to step into the unknown when they see those with experience taking advantage of the system. Just remember, no matter what we do, at some point, we did it for the first time. Don't let it deter you. Don't let it stop you. Don't let it define you.
One of our greatest challenges will be mending the divide between parties. One party has gone so far with misleading and outright lying, name-calling and falsely accusing, and endangering our democracy in pursuit of money and power that the American people have divided over false information.
