Reese's campaign website highlighted the following issues:[5]

  • The Economy and Working Families: Nevada has been a “boom and bust” economy for too many years, but I believe we are about to embark on a period of sustained economic growth, both in Reno and across the state.
  • Education – Locally and Statewide: Students in Nevada suffer from the effects of facilities in disrepair, a lack of textbooks and school supplies, and diminished faculty and staff. We must establish a fair and equitable funding formula that is derived from data not politics.
  • New Energy and Environment: Nevada is filed with austere beauty and plentiful natural resources. We should harness those resources to drive a vibrant economy and to reduce our carbon footprint.
  • Veterans and Military Families: I believe military families should not have to worry about how to feed their families, how to obtain medical, child care, or legal services, or how to navigate the mental health system alone.[6]
