Diana Boyar
Diana Boyar was a judge on the New York City Criminal Court of New York County, New York. She was appointed in January of 2011 and took office the following month. She left the court in 2015 after she was not re-appointed.[1][2][3]
Education
Boyar received her undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona and her J.D. from Temple Law School.[2]
Career
Boyar began her career as a staff attorney for the Criminal Defense Division of the Legal Aid Society in 1989. She then joined Brooklyn Defender Services, serving as a staff attorney from 1996 to 2006 and as a director of training from 2006 to 2009. She was appointed to the New York City Civil Court as an interim judge in January 2010 and was sworn in as a criminal court judge in February 2011.[2]
