Diana Urban
Diana S. Urban is a former Democratic member of the Connecticut House of Representatives, representing District 43 from 2001 to 2019.
Urban changed her party affiliation from Republican to Democrat in 2006.
Biography
Urban's professional experience includes working as a senior consultant with the Results Leadership Group. She has been an adjunct professor at Three Rivers College, and a Professor at the University of Connecticut, Avery Point.
Urban is a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners, North Stonington Planning and Zoning Commission, and Parents Committee of Williams College, and is the founder of the Small Business Advocacy Task Force.[1]

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 10, 2014. Incumbent Diane S. 2008
On November 4, 2008, Urban won re-election to the Connecticut House of Representatives from Connecticut's 43rd District, defeating Brian Kluberdanz (R). Urban received 8,078 votes in the election while Kluberdanz received 4,601 votes.[8] Urban raised $31,205 for her campaign; Kluberdanz raised $26,460.[9]

Awards
On October 26, 2010, Governing magazine named Urban as one of eight "Public Officials of the Year" for her work on Connecticut's results-based accountability (RBA) system.[10] Other honorees included Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue, Texas Senator John Whitmire, and Texas Representative Jerry Madden. Each year since 1994, Governing has selected a handful of state and local officials to honor for standout job performance. The Public Officials of the Year program "recognizes leaders from state, city and county government who exemplify the ideals of public service."[11]
