Diane Brenneman
Diane Brenneman is a magistrate judge for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. She was appointed to the court on February 20, 2004.[1]
Early life and education
Brenneman received her undergraduate degree from Santa Clara University in 1968. Next, Brenneman spent two years as a teacher in India in the Peace Corps. She began her professional career as a teacher in California, before becoming Assistant Admissions Director at Dag Hammarskjold College in Maryland. Brennaman then became a founding Director of the Polycultural Institute.[1]
Career
After receiving her law degree, Brenneman was a clinical supervisor in the Family Law Clinic at Antioch School of Law. After receiving a master's degree in clinical teaching, Brenneman became a professor at Antioch. Three years later, she was Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. In 1986, Brenneman co-founded the law firm Brenneman & Levine. Nine years later, she became a sole practitioner.[1]
