Diane Glasheen participated in Ballotpedia's 2017 survey of school board candidates.[5] In response to the question "What do you hope to achieve if elected to the school board?" the candidate stated on October 27, 2017:

I care deeply about our students, schools and community and will continue to advocate on their behalf. I have been very involved with the schools since my daughter started Kindergarten eight years ago. I am committed to protecting and advancing the tradition of excellence in our schools. I will have a positive impact on the school board as I truly believe in the district's Equity Promise. I am excited to see what great things Mounds View Public Schools will do next![6][7]
Ranking the issues

The candidate was asked to rank the following issues based on how they should be prioritized by the school board, with 1 being the most important and 7 being the least important. Each ranking could only be used once.

5
Expanding school choice options
6
Balancing or maintaining the district's budget
7
Improving relations with teachers
It was difficult to rank the issues as all are very important issues and all should be prioritized. Balancing or maintaining the district's budget and improving relations with teachers are two key important items, but I feel the district is doing a good job with so ranked them a bit lower.[7]

Yes. I would need to research this topic further to understand the district's current policy is and how this question would impact things.
