Diane M. Hanson
Diane M. Hanson is a Minnesota First Judicial District judge for Scott County, Minnesota. She was appointed to this position on March 9, 2004 by Gov. Pawlenty. She ran for and won re-election in the 2012 election.[1]
Education
Hanson received her B.A. degree from Kalamazoo College in 1973 and her J.D. degree from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1991.[2]
Career
Judge Hanson began her legal career in 1991 as a volunteer attorney for the City of St. Paul. She then worked as an assistant county attorney for the counties of Morrison (1992-1996) and Scott (1996-2004), until she became a District Court judge.[2] She was re-elected in 2006 to a term ending in January of 2013.[2]

Hanson competed against Michael L. Larson in the general election November 6, 2012.[1] She won re-election, getting 63.29 percent of the vote.[3]
