Diane M. Shelley was a judge for the 5th Subcircuit of the Cook County Judicial Circuit Court in Illinois. She left office in 2021.

Shelley ran for re-election for the 5th Subcircuit judge of the Cook County Judicial Circuit Court in Illinois. She won in the retention election on November 6, 2018.

She was first elected in 2006.

Shelley is a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law.[1]

Career

Shelley is a former private practice attorney. She worked in legal aid and domestic practice. Prior to her judicial election in 2006, she was the Head Assistant Attorney for the Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, as well as a hearing officer for the Chicago Department of Revenue.[1]
