Diane Trautman (Texas)
Diane Trautman (Democratic Party) is a former Harris County Clerk in Texas. She held office from 2019 to 2020. Trautman won in the general election on November 6, 2018, and assumed office on January 1, 2019.
Trautman resigned from her position effective May 31, 2020, due to concerns about her health in light of the coronavirus pandemic. Her statement said, "After much deliberation and discussion with my family and physician, I am resigning from my position as Harris County Clerk due to personal health concerns. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, my age, and underlying health issues, I do not feel I can safely continue to carry out my duties as Harris County Clerk."[1]
Trautman was an at-large representative on the Harris County Department of Education (HCDE) Board of Trustees in Texas. Trautman took office in 2013. She left office in 2018.
