  • Dianna is fearful that Glendale’s current momentum and trajectory can take a dramatic turn, if we do not elect the right leaders. That is why Dianna is in this race, rather than sitting on the sidelines she is running to ensure this does not happen.
  • Glendale is growing and is on track to be a major competitor to other large cities across the country when it comes to development, and economic prosperity. The individual that I would say I look up too is Mother Teresa. Why? Because she had unconditional love for her fellow man; and in her concern for humanity, she embodied selflessness. The lessons I have learned from Mother Teresa is that the true meaning of service is complete selflessness. These are the traits and characteristics that I believe every public official should embody.
As the Co-owner of a very successful tire business in the West Valley, which required a keen understanding of the economic principles and business models that govern our supply and demand is a valuable experience I will bring to the table as your next Councilmember for the Yucca District. We need someone who can cultivate economic growth in Glendale, and encourage new developments that will create new high paying jobs, and my experience running a successful business pipelines me into this position to create results. Subsequently, my ability to organize voter registration drives, get out the vote efforts, and all around civic engagement as a former Chairman with Legislative District 24 has given me the experience on day one to begin organizing initiatives and leading with tenacity, strength, and conviction. But we also need Leadership, which is not only a skill, but it is a trait. We need someone on day one to take the mantle and get to work for the people of our community. We need someone to see through the updates to Glendale Regional Heroes Park, and sit down with community leaders and stakeholders to encourage new investment into Glendale. We need someone with strength and resolve to spearhead funding for our public safety officers, and someone who possesses the skill of conflict resolution, problem solving, and communication to encourage development, job growth, and small business development in Yucca District. We need someone with a strong work ethic to bring a new grocery store to our district, and someone with compassion and emotional intelligence to expand on Glendale's Homelessness Plan. These are the skills I promise to bring to the Glendale City Council.
Dianna Guzman has support and is endorsed by Glendale Mayor Jerry Weiers, Vice Mayor Ian Hughes, Counilmember Ray Malnar, and the incumbent Yucca District Councilmember Joyce Clark. She is also endorsed by the Arizona Fraternal Order of Police, Glendale Lodge 12, and Glendale Firefighters.
