Dianne Burns Mackey (Republican Party) was a member of the Daviess County Board of Education in Kentucky, representing District 3. Mackey assumed office in 2009. Mackey left office in 2016.

Mackey (Republican Party) ran for election to the Kentucky State Senate to represent District 8. Mackey lost in the Republican primary on May 22, 2018.

Burns Mackey is a former District 3 member of the Daviess County Board of Education in Kentucky. She first joined the board in 2009. She lost a re-election bid in the general election on November 8, 2016.

Mackey was also a 2014 Republican candidate for District 12 of the Kentucky House of Representatives.[1]

Three of the five seats on the Daviess County Public Schools school board were up for by-district general election on November 8, 2016. In District 3, C. Todd Anderson defeated incumbent Dianne Burns Mackey. In District 4, incumbent Frank Riney III ran unopposed and won re-election to his seat.[2]

Incumbent Tom Purcell filed to run for re-election in District 5 but withdrew from the race before the election; his name still appeared on the ballot. Newcomer Dale Stewart won the race as a write-in candidate.[3]

Massey reported no contributions or expenditures to the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance as of October 25, 2016.[4]

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was January 28, 2014. Incumbent Jim Gooch, Jr. ran unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Dianne Burns Mackey ran unopposed in the Republican primary. Gooch defeated Mackey in the general election.[1][6][7]
