An election to recall Mayor Dianne Feinstein was held on April 26, 1983, in San Francisco, California. Voters retained Feinstein, with 81% of voters voting against the recall.[1][2]
Recall supporters
The White Panther Party organized the recall after Feinstein signed an ordinance that would have banned handguns into law. The ordinance was later overturned.[1]
