Dierdre Scozzafava
Dierdre Scozzafava (b. April 28, 1960) is a former Republican member of the New York State Assembly, representing District 122 from 1999 to 2010. Scozzafava was minority leader pro temprore for the New York State Assembly.
She was a candidate for the United States House of Representatives, District 23 in 2009. Her past political experiences include minority whip for the New York State Assembly; Republican chair and committeeperson for Saint Lawrence Committee; and as the mayor and trustee for the Village of Gouverneur.
Biography
Scozzafava earned her B.S. from Boston University School of Management and her MBA from Clarkson Graduate School of Business. Her professional experience includes being the owner and vice-president of Seaway Capital partners; as well as part-owner and corporate director of Wisebuys. Her past professional experience includes investment adviser, instructor and adjunct instructor.[1]
