Dionne Delli-Gatti was the secretary of environmental quality for North Carolina. She was appointed by Gov. Roy Cooper (D) on February 16, 2021, to replace Michael Regan.[1] The North Carolina State Senate rejected her nomination on June 3, 2021. Gov. Cooper then named Delli-Gatti the state's clean energy director.[2]

Biography

Dionne Delli-Gatti earned a B.A. in environmental geology from Wright State University and an M.S. in environmental science from the University of North Texas. Delli-Gatti's career experience includes working as the director of Southeast climate and energy with the Environmental Defense Fund, a congressional and governmental liaison with the Atlanta EPA Regional office, and an environmental specialist with Turner Collie & Braden, Inc.[3]
