The District of Columbia U.S. Attorney's Office is an agency that has jurisdiction over prosecuting and investigating campaign finance law violations in Washington, D.C..

Mission Statement

"The mission of the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia is to enforce the criminal laws of the United States and the District of Columbia, represent the interests of the United States in civil litigation, and respond to the public safety needs of the community by leading an effective, well-coordinated law enforcement effort that contributes to the overall goal of improving the quality of life in the District of Columbia," according to the Justice Department's website.[1]

Governance

Both the civil and criminal divisions of the District of Columbia U.S. Attorney's Office are responsible for prosecuting campaign finance laws.[2]
