Dolores Mertz
Dolores Mertz (b. May 30, 1928) was a Democratic member of the Iowa House of Representatives, representing the 8th District from 1989-2010.
Mertz is a farmer. She has served as a Democratic Precinct Leader, on the Kossuth County Central Committee, and as Vice-Chair of the Kossuth County Supervisors.
Mertz is a member of Algona Soroptimist International, American Legislative Exchange Council, Catholic Daughters of America, Department of Natural Resources Advisory Council, Future Farmers of America Educational Advisory Council, and the West Bend Drama Club.[1]

Mertz did not run for re-election in 2010.
2008
On November 4, 2008, Mertz was re-elected to the 8th District Seat in the Iowa House of Representatives, defeating Stephen Richards (R).[2] Mertz raised $101,596 for her campaign, while Richards raised $139,031.[3]
