|- Common sense gun reform : The current state of gun ownership and regulation has led to an unacceptable level of gun violence, with devastating consequences for communities across the nation. Our campaign seeks to promote a comprehensive approach to gun reform, including universal background checks, closing loopholes in the current system, and implementing red flag laws to keep dangerous weapons out of the wrong hands. We believe that the Second Amendment does not mean that anyone should be able to own any weapon they choose, without proper regulation and oversight. The right to bear arms is not absolute, and it is time for our laws to reflect this.
- Women’s reproductive health: It is crucial that we protect and expand access to safe and legal abortion, ensuring that women have the ability to make choices about their reproductive health without fear of discrimination or marginalization. We believe that this includes adding exceptions for rape and incest to abortion laws, as these heinous crimes can have devastating and long-lasting effects on the survivors. By providing these exceptions, we can ensure that women who have been subjected to these horrific acts of violence are able to access the healthcare they need and deserve.
- Fully funding public schools: Our campaign support fully funding our public schools. This critical investment in our children's education is not only a moral imperative, but a strategic investment in our nation's prosperity and security. A well-funded public education system provides the foundation for a skilled workforce, informed citizenship, and a strong democracy. It is essential that we prioritize the needs of our schools and provide the necessary resources to ensure that every student has access to a high-quality education, regardless of their zip code or socio-economic status. By investing in our public schools, we are investing in the future of our nation and the well-being of our communities.

My mother has been a leader in her own right, both in her personal and professional life. Financial transparency and government accountability are essential components of a healthy democracy.
Transparency in government finances allows citizens to hold elected officials accountable for their spending decisions and ensures that public funds are used efficiently and effectively. This, in turn, promotes trust and confidence in government, as citizens are better able to understand how their taxes are being used.
