Don Betzold (b. August 27, 1950) was a Democratic member of the Minnesota State Senate. He was first elected to the position in 1992. Betzold was last re-elected in November of 2006, with his term expiring in 2010. He was defeated in the November 2, 2010, general election.

Betzold graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1972 with his bachelor's degree in journalism and graduated from Hamline University School of Law with his juris doctor degree in 1979. Betzold is a private practice attorney. Betzold also served in the Army Judge Advocate General Reserve Corps from 1976 to 2002.

Betzold lost re-election to the 51st District seat in 2010. He had no primary opposition. Pam Wolf ran for the seat on the Republican ticket. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.[2]

2006

On November 7, 2006, Betzold won re-election to the 51st District Seat in the Minnesota State Senate, defeating Pam Wolf (R).[3]
