Don Brown was the Colorado commissioner of agriculture from 2015 to 2018. He was first appointed to the office on January 30, 2015, by Gov. John Hickenlooper and assumed office on February 17, 2015.[1]

Brown earned an associate degree in agriculture from Northeastern Junior College and a vocational agriculture education degree from Colorado State University.[1]

Career

When he served in the state government, Brown owned a farm in Yuma County, maintaining his family's three-generation tradition in agriculture.[1][2]

Brown was appointed to the office on January 30, 2015, by Gov. John Hickenlooper (D). Brown assumed office on February 17, 2015. He replaced John Salazar, who served in the position from 2011 to 2014.[1]
