Don Browning was a member of the Marion County Public Schools school board in Florida, representing District 2. He assumed office on September 7, 2021. He left office on November 22, 2022.

Browning (Republican Party) ran in a special election to the U.S. House to represent Florida's 6th Congressional District. He did not appear on the ballot for the special Republican primary on January 28, 2025.

Browning was appointed to the seat by Gov. Ron DeSantis on August 30, 2021, (R) to replace Beth McCall, who resigned in June of that year.[1]
