Don E. Courtney is a judge of District 3A of Iowa. He was appointed to this position in May 2001.[1] He was most recently retained in 2014 for a term that expires on December 31, 2020.[2]

Courtney was retained to the 3A District Court with 75.6 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [2] 

Education

Courtney graduated from Mankato State University with a bachelor's degree in 1972 and went on to receive his J.D. from Hamline University in 1976.[1]

Career

Courtney has worked as an assistant county attorney in Tama and Kossuth counties. Prior to his judicial appointment, he was a partner at the law firm of Cassel, McMahon, Courtney & Stowater.[1]
