Don Hemstreet
Don Hemstreet was a member of the Burke County Public Schools in North Carolina, representing Central District. He assumed office in 2011.
Hemstreet ran for re-election to the Burke County Public Schools to represent Central District in North Carolina. He won in the general election on November 5, 2019.
Biography
Hemstreet is a veterinarian at the Morganton Animal Clinic in Morganton, North Carolina. He founded the clinic in 1972 and sold it in 2006. He still works there as a veterinarian. He graduated from Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine.[1]

2015
Four of the seven seats on the Burke County Board of Education were up for election on November 3, 2015. The available seats included one at-large seat and three seats representing geographical regions within the district.
Incumbent R. L. Icard defeated Robert Murray for the at-large seat. In the Central District, incumbent Don Hemstreet ran unopposed and won re-election. Incumbent Randy Burns defeated Tommy Fraley in the Eastern District, and incumbent Edna B. Weller defeated Susan C. Jones for the Western District seat.[2][3]
