Don Lester was a judge of the Florida 4th Circuit Court. He left office on August 31, 2023.

Lester won re-election for judge of the Florida 4th Circuit Court outright after the general election on November 6, 2018, was canceled.

Lester was appointed to this position by Gov. Charlie Crist on January 12, 2010 to replace retired Judge Michael Weatherby. He was elected in 2012.[1][2][3]

Education

Lester received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland and his law degree from the University of Florida College of Law.[1]

Career

Lester worked as an assistant state attorney from 1983 to 1984. He then joined the private law firm of Selber & Selber, where he worked until 1987. From 1987 to 1994, he practiced law with Mahoney, Adams & Criser and, from 1994 to 1995, with Shafer, Lester & Jones. He then practiced with the firm of Lester & Mitchell until he was appointed to the circuit court in 2010.[1]
