Don Postler was born in Madison Wisconsin and raised in Sun Prairie. Don is a graduate of Sun Prairie High School and earned a bachelors degree in History with a minor in Policial Science from Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin. Don resides in Dane, Wisconsin where he serves on the Dane Village Board, having first been elected as a Trustee in 2018, and Village President since 2022.
  • Conservation and sustainability. I believe we need to protect our natural resources that we have inherited so that the next generation is able to enjoy them.
  • Workforce Housing. We need to ensure that Dane County is able to meet the demand of housing stock for the workers that make our community thrive.
  • Mental Health. I believe we need to expand access to mental and behavioral health resources in Dane County.
I am passionate about improving public parks and conservation areas to ensure that our community is able to enjoy the bounty of our natural resources.
I am an excellent listener and an even better networker. I understand the challenges and know the person or office who is able to assist with the resolution!
I believe that a government of, by, and for the people needs to be an open book for all. An accountable government serves the people well.
