Don Preister
Don Preister (b. 1946) is a former member of the Nebraska Unicameral representing District 5 from 1992 to 2008.
Biography
Preister earned his B.S. from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1977. His professional experience includes working as a greeting card manufacturer at Joy Creations. He served as a medic in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968, earning a commendation and Bronze Star in Vietnam.[1]
Preister is a member of "Veterans for Peace," the South Omaha Environmental Task Force.
Issues
Preister voted in favor in Nebraska Legislative Bill 39, to restrict initiative rights in Nebraska.
