Don Soderberg
Don Soderberg was the Nevada Director of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation.[1] He served in this position from 2014 to 2019. Soderberg relieved Deputy Director Dennis Perea from his interim duties filling in for former-Director Frank Woodbeck, who resigned effective April 2014 to take a position with the Nevada System of Higher Education.[2]
Soderberg was the Industrial Relations Administrator for the Nevada Department of Business and Industry at the time of his appointment as director. He is a former member of the Nevada Transportation Services Authority and served eight years as Chairman of the Nevada Public Utilities Commission.[3]
Biography
Before beginning his career as a state government regulator, Soderberg worked in public relations, marketing and private-sector law.
Soderberg practiced administrative and commercial law with Lionel Sawyer and Collins for eight years after earning his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law. He also obtained a B.A. in communication studies from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.[2]

Soderberg was appointed Nevada Director of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation by Gov. Brian Sandoval on September 26, 2014. He formally succeeded ex-Director Frank Woodbeck, who had resigned in April to accept a new position, forcing Deputy Director Dennis Perea to fill in as director until Soderberg's appointment.[2]
