Don Vallien
Don Vallien was a candidate for the District 10 seat on the St. Landry Parish School Board in Louisiana. He was defeated in the April 5, 2014, special primary election.[1]

Four Democrats vied to fill the District 10 vacancy. Stephen Woods had been appointed to temporarily fill the position ran for a full-term in the special election. Hazel McCrea-Sias, Don Vallien and Matthew "Smiley" Washington also ran. None of the candidates garnered a majority of votes in the primary on April 5, 2014. A runoff election between the McCrea-Sias and Woods was held on May 3, 2014, which McCrea-Sias won.[1][2]
