Primary: He was defeated in the primary on August 26, 2014, receiving 36.07 percent of the vote. He competed against Mark Jones. [1][2]

Education

Barrett earned his B.A., magna cum laude, from Georgia State University in 1992. He earned his J.D. from Stetson University College of Law in 1996.[3]

Career

Barrett's experience includes nine years as a prosecutor for the state of Florida, seven years of private practice and works at the State Attorney's Office.[4]
