Donald Deason
Donald Deason was an Oklahoma district court judge for Oklahoma County, which is located in District 7.[1] He was appointed to the position in July 1999.[2] Deason passed away on July 28, 2016, after suffering a stroke.[3]
Education
Deason received a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Oklahoma. He also earned his J.D. from the University of Oklahoma in 1979.[2]
Career
Deason began working at the Oklahoma County District Attorney's Office after he graduated from law school. He was a supervisor in the office's Felony Division from 1984 until his judicial appointment in 1999.[2]

Deason ran for re-election to the Seventh District Court.
General: He defeated Orenthel Denson in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 77.7 percent of the vote.
