Donald E. Beachley is an at-large member of the Appellate Court of Maryland. He assumed office in 2016. His current term ends on December 31, 2028.
Beachley ran for re-election for judge of the Maryland Court of Special Appeals At-large (Historical). He won in the retention election on November 6, 2018.
He was appointed to the court on June 1, 2016, by Republican Governor Larry Hogan to succeed retired Judge Robert Zarnoch.[1]
The Maryland Court of Special Appeals became the Appellate Court of Maryland, following a 2022 constitutional amendment that changed the court's name.[2]
Beachley was previously a judge on the Fourth Circuit Court for Washington County in Maryland.[3] He assumed office as a judge on the court on December 29, 1997.[4][5] Beachley was re-elected to the Fourth Circuit Court in 2014, winning a new term that would have expired on December 31, 2029.[6][7]
