Biography
Donald Hiatt was born in Douglas, Arizona. He attended Mesa Community College and earned a bachelor's degree from National Graduate School in 2011. His career experience includes working as an information technology professional at a number of various companies including Nationwide Insurance, AZ BlueCross BlueShield, and Arizona Department of Education.[1]

|I am the first Recorder Candidate with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Quality Management, and I am a Certified Senior Enterprise Architect. I have demonstrated my skills by receiving the Best Customer and User Award for System Design; and AIM: BIZ Gold Award for highest productivity increase of an imaging system. I have a unique patent for document indexing so they can later be retrieved. I possess expert level skills in Business Process Re-Engineering and Complex Systems Analysis & Design. Skills that will be invaluable in re-organizing and managing the operations in the Recorder’s office. I am neither a lawyer nor a politician. I believe in Freedom of speech and the integrity of the Constitution of this great country! 4th Generation Arizona Native.
My wife & I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary last November, and we raised three beautiful daughters in the Mesa / Chandler area.- Strengthen security to prevent fraudulent property title and deed filings with proactive notifications to the owner.
- Redesign practices to expedite election results.
- Ensure adherence to Federal and State election laws.
This responsibility is governed by Title 11, Chapter 4 of the Arizona Revised Statutes (A.R.S. 11-461 to 11-469), which outlines the duties of the county recorder in maintaining and recording public documents.
Managing voter registration, maintaining voter rolls, administering early voting (including mail-in ballots), and verifying signatures on early ballots.
Title 16, Chapter 1, Article 2 of the Arizona Revised Statutes (A.R.S. 16-121 to 16-168)
Assisting with the administration of elections in collaboration with the Maricopa County Elections Department, including managing polling places and tabulating votes.
