Primary: He was defeated in the Republican primary on June 24, 2014, receiving 13.6 percent of the vote. He competed against Jack Shook, Jr., J. Franklin Knight, and incumbent Judges Linda M. Hess and John Dale Smack, III. Primary candidates competed for 3 seats.
