Six of the 11 seats on the Nash-Rocky Mount Schools school board were up for by-district general election on November 8, 2016. District 1 incumbent Doneva Chavis-Battle, District 3 incumbent Franklin Lamm, District 5 incumbent William Sharpe, District 7 incumbent Ricky Jenkins, District 10 incumbent Evelyn Bulluck, and District 11 incumbent Ann Edge were all unopposed in their bids for re-election and won the seats. There was no primary.[1][2]
