Donna Bacolor Howard is a judge for the Berrien County Trial Court in Michigan. She was elected to the court on November 4, 2014, for a six-year term commencing on January 1, 2015, and expiring on December 31, 2020.[1] [2]

Education

Howard received a B.A. in economics from the University of Michigan and a J.D. degree from Wayne State University.[3]

Career

Before her election to the Berrien County Trial Court, Howard served as corporate counsel to Berrien County. She also previously worked in private practice, including six years as an attorney with the firm of Straub, Seaman & Allen.[4]

Primary: She was successful in the primary on August 5, 2014, receiving 39.5 percent of the vote. She competed against Brian C. Sauer and Stephen Smith.
General: She defeated Stephen Smith in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 52.5 percent of the vote. [1][5]
