Biography

Donna Vanhook earned an associate degree from Alamance Community College in 1991, a bachelor's degree from Elon University in 2007, and a graduate degree from High Point University in 2015. Her career experience includes working as a politician, ordained minister, and law enforcement officer.[1]

I am a former law enforcement officer and currently serve as an ordained minister, along with being the first woman elected to Alamance County Soil & Water Conservation District Supervisor. I have been involved in community work to improve quality of life for youth, young adults, adults and older adults for 20+ years. My life's service is as a justice advocate. I feel called to advocate for disadvantaged and vulnerable populations.

Yes, I do. In order for our state to meet the needs of the people, we must work in bi-partisanship. Working together, demonstrates we are willing to do what we have been elected to do.
Not necessarily compromise but rather collaboration in policymaking. Compromise, to me, indicates a probable one-sided passing of a bill that may not be in the best interest of some populations or demographics.
